Ennovation Center Celebrates 15 Years of Fueling Missouri’s Entrepreneurial Engine

INDEPENDENCE, MO – The Ennovation Center, Independence’s premier business incubator, is turning 15 — and the public is invited to celebrate its legacy of innovation, community, and economic growth at a one-of-a-kind anniversary celebration on
Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, program at 6PM.

With over 600 businesses launched, nearly $20 million in economic impact to Independence, and $40 million to the State of Missouri, the Ennovation Center has become a powerful engine for entrepreneurship across the region.

“Fifteen years ago, the City of Independence, Independence School District, and the Independence Economic Development Council transformed the former Independence Regional Hospital into a place where ideas could take root and businesses could thrive,” said Danielle DuPree, Executive Director of the Ennovation Center.
“Now, we’re inviting the community to come see — and taste — what that growth looks like. We love working with the passionate and trailblazing entrepreneurs in our hometown!”

What to Expect:

• Explore “Taste & Tech” Zones featuring delicious samples from current and past Ennovation Center culinary clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy their products and support their businesses.
• Warm up at a festive bonfire in the outdoor food truck square (weather permitting).
• Discover innovations from science and biotech startups with hands-on displays and demonstrations.
• Enjoy a keynote presentation on entrepreneurship by Steven McBee Jr., of McBee Dynasty, Joe Millionaire, and McBee Cattle & Farms, McBee’s Coffee and Carwash, and other family businesses.
• Win big in our live raffle!
